● Joining the School Council, the coexistence plan, or being an active member of the AFA (School PTA)

What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?
Families can access the classroom both in the morning and afternoon from I0 to I3, sharing entry and exit time with their children. In I4 and I5, families can access the classroom in the mornings. In the afternoons, teachers accompany students out from the school entrance. You have daily contact with the teachers, and in the mornings the headteacher welcomes you.

Can children wear diapers or use a pacifier in I3?
We start from the premise that each child has their own developmental pace and progresses gradually. Toilet training is a maturational process in which adult support is essential. The best way to support it is through daily routines so that children feel safe and capable, usually during I2 or I3. You only need to talk to the class teacher. In I3, the use of pacifiers should be avoided, as they affect speech development and sound
learning.
Do children need to bring a morning snack/afternoon snack?
Mid-morning, children eat the snack they bring from home. We promote healthy food (fruit, small sandwiches) and sustainable packaging (lunch boxes or reusable wraps). We therefore avoid foods high in sugar (milkshakes, juices, pastries, etc.) and non-biodegradable packaging (aluminium foil, plastic wrap, etc.). At the Nursery School, we provide seasonal fruit for afternoon snack. In Early Childhood Education, children bring their snack from home.
Do you do outdoor activities?
Yes. Our Early Childhood educational project includes:
● Tavern Space: one morning a week, students engage in creative, playful and
experiential activities.
● External activities: puppetry, theatre, nature outings, Liceu, museums, etc.
Approximately 6 per year.
● Outdoor classes: each month we carry out an outdoor activity around the school. We
draw in the park, go to Galvany market, etc., making use of our neighbourhood
spaces.
These activities are adapted to the pedagogical approach of each moment of the school year to complement and enrich the educational experience.
Are there extracurricular activities?
Yes! Extracurricular activities for all stages are organised by the AFA (School PTA) and may vary each year depending on demand:
● Midday: theatre and yoga
● Afternoons: movement games, artistic gymnastics, futsal, music, instruments
Do we need to buy a school smock or tracksuit?
No smock is required.
Students from I2 to I5 receive a school backpack at the beginning of the school year.
Early Childhood students (I3, I4, I5) must wear the school tracksuit on psychomotor skills days, swimming days, and for outdoor outings.
What is lunchtime like?
Children eat in a classroom at school and enjoy leisure time accompanied by the monitoring staff.
Students from I0 to I3 eat in their classrooms and then take a nap.
Students from I4 to 2nd grade eat at 1:00 p.m. and then have playtime with both organised and free play.
Do you teach English?
At the Nursery School, no. The language of instruction is Catalan.
In Early Childhood Education we work in an integrated way across all areas: language, mathematics, music, English and psychomotor skills.
We have two English specialists who take part in each group’s daily routines, so there is a daily English session.
